I am an Honorary Consultant Clinical Psychologist at Great Ormond Street Hospital NHS Foundation Trust (GOSH) with more than twenty years’ experience of leading clinical psychology practice within expert multidisciplinary teams in the field of paediatric neurodevelopment and neurodisability.

I completed a BA Honours degree in Psychology at Oxford University in 1993, where I was awarded the Nuffield Scholarship for Science. This was followed by a doctorate in clinical psychology (DClinPsy) and a PhD in medical psychology at King's College London.

Since qualifying I have worked predominantly in national specialist paediatric services at Great Ormond Street Hospital, acquiring knowledge and skills in relation to assessment and diagnosis of complex neurodevelopmental and neuropsychological presentations, in particular those associated with epilepsy, atypical cognitive profiles and rare disorders.

I spent five years working in Barnet child and adolescent mental health services (CAMHS), gaining valuable experience of community health services, educational liaison and intervention, and culminating in joint leadership of their neurodevelopmental team from 2009-2012.

I studied for a specialist post-graduate qualification in paediatric neuropsychology at the UCL Institute of Child Health, which I gained with Distinction in 2015 and was awarded the full Qualification in Clinical Neuropsychology (QICN) in 2021. Appointed to one of seven Consultant Clinical Psychology posts at GOSH in 2016, I led the Neurodevelopmental Psychology group for nearly five years before moving into an Honorary Consultant role, alongside offering services to the private sector. I am incredibly fortunate to have had the opportunity to learn from highly expert colleagues across health, education and social care, and some wonderful children and families, and to be part of national and international clinical research efforts.

I am the mother of three children, now teenagers / young adults, and am based in North West London.
